The Chicago Auto Show is recognized as the largest auto show in North America, presented annually at the McCormick Place Convention Center. The entire show impressively covers more than 1 million square feet showcasing production, concept, and exotic vehicle exhibits. In addition to hosting multiple vehicle debuts, the Chicago Auto Show’s First Look for Charity raises more than $2.5 million each year for 18 Chicago organizations at an energetic black tie event.

The local Chicago-based DEP team was in attendance at the show and First Look for Charity event, enjoying a chance to check out the new vehicle lineups with some of our local dealership partners!

Being surrounded by all of the pristine new inventory under the bright lights, many conversations among the DEP team and dealers included the best way to merchandise online. How does a dealer display their inventory to highlight it in the best “light” like at the Auto Show? For DEP Dealers, the answer is simple – using VDPxL! VDPxL allows dealers to display their top photos to truly showcase their inventory — uncompressed! Say goodbye to grainy thumbnail sized images. Using large images also allows Hyper Zoom functionality to focus in on specific areas of the vehicle. When layered in with Photo Hot Spots, merchandise is automated right into the photos, where the customer is already engaged – providing an auto show-quality virtual walk-around right from the dealers’ website!
