As part of their September newsletter Waze provided data they had collected over Labor Day 2020. These results are a great metric both for general knowledge and to plan ahead for the upcoming holiday season. With most states in the U.S. expected to have similar COVID-19 procedures in place, travel via car is anticipated to stay a popular choice for families over Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. According to Waze, there was a 5% increase in miles driven per driver from Labor Day weekend 2020 compared to 20191. It’s also interesting to note that amongst the different navigation searches that Waze has seen an increase in recently, Auto Parts and Service Brands are up 10%1.
