Prior to joining Dealer eProcess, Tim led the Spectrum Reach (Charter Cable) auto advertising for the Eastern United States. He led development to retain existing revenue and drive new digital revenue focusing on the Streaming Video/OTT ecosystem. Tim managed 8 leaders who lead field sales team of over 350 to deliver campaigns for more than 1200 monthly auto clients. Responsibilities include the vision for the auto digital platform and lead the selection of vendors who could fulfill those needs. Surpassing revenue goals while composing the strategic discipline of selling with registration data led to incremental revenue growth across entire company. Development of a Preferred Agency Program and Agency Playbook reduced friction with large tier 3 auto agencies which increased share and revenue.
Tim was a founding member of an automotive digital start up as the Chief Marketing Officer of AutoAmigo/CarSaver. Tim’s mission is to drive growth of the dealer network thru launching markets in partnership with Univision and Walmart, communicate to consumers the benefits of program membership and to develop marketing partnerships that bring value to the consumer and the dealer network.
As the Vice President of Toer 3 Auto for Univision Communications Inc he created and led a consultant style team whose expertise was dealer marketing. Growth of dealer advertising sales for local radio-television stations and digital media meant transforming the salesforce’s understanding of the dealer’s needs and providing solutions that demonstrated return on investment. As a result the Univision TV Station Group experienced growth of 199% in revenue, while the Radio Stations had a 47% revenue growth and digital revenue grew tenfold over 2011.
Since 1984 Tim has worked in the local and regional auto advertising marketplace, he has developed strengths in training, strategic business development, and research in the automotive category. Tim brings a background of sales, management, strategic planning, research and marketing combined with effective management, communications, negotiations and leadership skills.
Prior to Univision, Tim was the key account manager for R.L. Polk, and responsible for account development with Nissan Americas. Prior to joining Polk he was the Southern Division Automotive Lead and the Automotive Director for the South Central Area of Comcast Spotlight. During his career with Comcast Tim served in research and integrated media management capacities. He oversaw the launch of an automotive internet lead service across 14 DMAs with over 500 dealers participating and the creation of the first training and certification program within the company for auto focused account executives.
Tim previously owned Media Scope, an automotive centric advertising agency based out of Nashville, Tennessee, where he began his career selling advertising for local radio, television and magazines. He graduated from Murray State University (Murray, Kentucky) in 1984 with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing. He currently resides with his wife Sandy in Brentwood, Tennessee.
