Online integration between manufacturers and dealers is largely left to Request for Quote systems. However, the vast majority of auto shoppers never complete these forms on any site. This antiquated system falls far short of early promises consumers would have access to Locate to Order (LTO) systems. Our first study regarding integration brings to light the current state of inventory search for new vehicles on manufacturer sites and how they link shoppers to dealers.
